SUMMARY:Savioja: Aalto Acoustics Lab
DESCRIPTION:Aalto Acoustics Lab (Espoo\, Finland) is a collective of five professors working on different topics in audio and acoustics ranging from concert halls to acoustic materials and from virtual analog models to human superhearing. At the moment there are three post-docs and some 20 doctoral students working in the lab. This presentation will give an overview of research activities and facilities at the lab. SUMMARY:Möhlmann: Internship with Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH
DESCRIPTION:My internship at Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH involved various tasks in the field of traffic noise research. This included on-site certification of ISO noise test tracks in France and Morocco. In researching the aging behavior of noise-reducing road surfaces in Germany\, I planned and carried out projects with road maintenance authorities\, regional councils\, and state building authorities. These projects included 3D laser scanning of road surfaces and installation of temperature sensors during road repairs.
