SUMMARY:Schmitz: Internship with HEAD acoustics GmbH - Telecom department
DESCRIPTION:The presentation will be about my tasks and activities at HEAD acoustics GmbH. During the entirety of my industrial internship\, I was part of the Telecommunications Research and Standardisation department. The main topic of the talk is spatial audio (Ambisonics) and the development of suitable audio codecs and standards for such signals. First\, I will discuss the question of how to evaluate the acoustic performance of Ambisonics codecs and what could be a possible test signal for it.
