SUMMARY:Fang: Validation of free-field sound scattering simulations
DESCRIPTION:The scattering coefficient is a crucial parameter in acoustics\, as it plays a significant role in characterizing the scattering of sound waves from surfaces and materials. In this study\, we focus on the free-field simulation of the scattering coefficient. First\, we validate the scattering coefficient against analytical solutions of standard surfaces\, such as sine and rectangular shaped surfaces. DESCRIPTION:There is a shift going on from manned aviation to unmanned aviation where drones\, mainly DJIs are being used for social public purposes. The drones are easily distinguishable from other sound sources due to their specific sound characteristics\, which will change the soundscape of the city. In order to understand how drones will affect society and find out if there is a problem and how the problem could be addressed\, an overview of related topics to drone noise will be presented.
