SUMMARY:Selvi: Industrial Internship at HEAD Acoustics GmbH
DESCRIPTION:This presentation is about the industrial internship completed at HEAD acoustics GmbH in the department Sound Perception & Assessment. Two major tasks are presented. First of these is about the measurement and evaluation of the room acoustics properties of a listening room\, based on the ITU Recommendation ITU-R BS.1116-3 concerning the listening conditions of reference listening rooms and locating primary and secondary listening positions accordingly. In addition to that\, an automation of the measurement protocol had to be created\, since the measurement needs to be repeated in case of any changes in the room that may affect the acoustical properties. Second task was about creating a virtual replica of the 3D Audio Room – a VR-Lab at HEAD acoustics – using software tools such as Godot game engine and Virtual Acoustics. SUMMARY:Sun: Development of productive software systems in the area of capacity validation of energy supply systems
DESCRIPTION:This talk is about an industrial internship at FGH GmbH from 01.06.2023 to 20.10.2023\, working as a software developer in the team “Flexible Softwarelösungen”. \nFor more than 100 years\, FGH GmbH has been working with its member companies from the entire energy sector and electrotechnical solutions for maintaining the security of supply of electrical energy. Today\, it is working on the technical grid integration of innovative and smart equipment\, develops software solutions for network operators\, supports the energy transition and carries out electrical engineering tests in the laboratory and in the field. \nMy internship is about further development of productive software systems in the area of capacity validation of energy supply systems\, which are called iDaVinCy (intraday Validation of Capacity) and DAVinCy (Day-Ahead Validation of Capacity). In order to improve test automation process for these two tools\, a Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for quality assurance was designed\, built and maintained. Some new features were added to the tools with respect to different requirements as well.
