Content of this presentation is a summary of my tasks and projects I contributed to during my six-months internship in the Centre for Applied Audiology Research (CAAR) for the Oticon brand at Demant A\/S in Sm\u00f8rum, Denmark.<\/p>\n
Generally, there are two kinds of projects the CAAR-Team is occupied with. Firstly, the delivery of reliable and scientifically based claims used in global marketing and promotion derived through both clinical and technical studies on pre-released hearing aids. Secondly, the development of research methods and scientific collaborations (including Bachelor or Master projects and PhD positions).<\/p>\n
During the internship I was involved in both kinds of projects. I contributed to the claims process by carrying out and following up on the technical study for the next release (25.1) of Oticon\u2019s upgraded CIC\/IIC (Completely-in-the-Canal\/Invisible-in-the-Canal) hearing aids. On the development of research methods, I was handed a project to investigate the possibility of including commonly conducted technical measures, like output SNR measurements using the phase-inversion technique, in clinical studies.<\/p>\n
