As part of his dissertation, he is researching hydrogels based on highly alkaline diallyldimethylammonium hydroxide (DADMAOH) for use in building preservation. He is focussing in particular on the development of alkali-stable crosslinkers and the formulation and investigation of molecular gel network structures.
