DESCRIPTION:Prof. Dr. D. DiVincenzo\, Theoretical Nanoelectronics\, Institute for Advanced Simulation\, JARA-FIT of FZJ\n“Perfecting the Quantum Processor”\nWe are increasingly confident that there are no fundamental obstacles to building a quantum computer\, in which the peculiar phenomena of quantum superposition and quantum entanglement can be used as powerful resources for the fast execution of algorithms. However\, realizing the necessary physical conditions in which the ideal action of quantum computation can be realized has been a challenging effort undertaken in many labs over the last twenty years. I will give an example of how superconducting quantum circuits\, through many generations of refinement\, have come closer to our goal. \n\nFrau Prof. Dr. K. DESCRIPTION:For more than 50 years\, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University has stood for the excellent training of highly qualified and responsible engineers. This is regularly reflected in top places in national and international rankings. Last but not least\, the constructive business partnerships that enable our students to gain an insight into and work on interesting projects and theses are responsible for this success. \nWe would like to present this success on the 23rd Day of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology\, which will take place on November 18th\, 2022\, and bring companies\, students\, faculty members and graduates together. We are pleased to be able to invite our graduates to the Day of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology again this year and to be able to say goodbye in a festive setting. \nProgram \nHowever\, the TDEI starts at 12:00 with the company fair in the foyer of the IT center.
