The reason for this is the so-called occlusion effect, which occurs when headphones or hearing aids close off the auditory canal. This problem is addressed by the startup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elevear-tech.com\">Elevear<\/a>, which emerged from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iks.rwth-aachen.de\/aktuelles\/news-archiv\/\">Institute for Communication Systems<\/a> and was successfully founded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iks.rwth-aachen.de\/institut\/ueber-uns\/alumni\/stefan-liebich\/\">Stefan Liebich,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iks.rwth-aachen.de\/institut\/ueber-uns\/alumni\/johannes-fabry\/\">Johannes Fabry<\/a>, Raphael Brandis, and Elfed Howells on February 4, 2021.
