As a <strong data-start=\"2381\" data-end=\"2409\">Humboldt Research Fellow<\/strong>, she tackles one of the key challenges of the energy transition: the fluctuating output of renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"3006\">\u201cMost power grids were designed for fossil-based generation, which provides constant and predictable energy. Renewables are different \u2013 their output depends on the weather,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"3006\">Dr. Phyo applies <strong data-start=\"2739\" data-end=\"2769\">AI-based prediction models<\/strong> to make these variations more manageable and to strengthen grid stability and efficiency.
