In this article, we would like to draw your attention to the Rat f\u00fcr Informationsinfrastrukturen (RfII). Based in G\u00f6ttingen, the RfII has been initiating strategic processes since 2014 and is concerned with the entire scientific system as well as with questions relating to the further development of information infrastructures<\/a>. The RfII regularly issues recommendations<\/a> on research data management (RDM). The RfII mailing list allows you to stay up to date on the latest developments.<\/p>\n

About the RfII<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The RfII is the central advisory body at the federal level for the digital transformation in science and research and was established in 2014 by the Joint Science Conference (GWK) of the federal and state governments. In two of its mandate phases from 2014 to 2022, the RfII has focused on the topic \u201cResearch Data – Sustainability – Internationality\u201d. Various recommendations and reports, e.g. \u201cPerformance through Diversity. Structures, Processes and Financing of Research Data Management in Germany<\/a>\u201d, were produced during this time.<\/p>\n

In its current third mandate phase, which will last a total of four years, the RfII is focusing on \u201csynergies of the newly created data and information infrastructures in Germany and Europe, their interfaces to non-scientific data spaces and their evaluability\u201d [1].<\/p>\n

With the RfII Info Ticker, the RfII offers a weekly email service that provides a clear summary of current reports on topics relevant to the RfII. Topics of the RfII Info Ticker include research data, information infrastructures, open science, and science and funding policy.<\/p>\n
