Step by step, all projects are therefore being transferred to the new infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Around 1380 projects have already been migrated \u2013 that\u2019s about 1 PB of the total planned 2.5 PB. Project owners with particularly large amounts of data were contacted directly to arrange individual dates for the migration.<\/p>\n<p>The speed of the transfer varies depending on the project and depends, among other things, on the number of resources and the quantity and size of the files contained.<\/p>\n<p>We will provide regular updates on further progress.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The migration of all Coscine projects has been ongoing since the beginning of July 2025: The previous storage system, Research Data Storage (RDS), is being completely replaced by Datastorage.nrw.
