A lot has happened regarding RTHmoodle since 2019, with regular updates to newer versions, as well as new functions and changes. The biggest changes and a redesign came with the upgrade to version 4.1 in March 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Course index:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>left sidebar listing all sections, activities and materials<\/li>\n<li>students: color hightlights indicates the completion of an activity<\/li>\n<li>standard topics format: collapsing and expanding of sections<\/li>\n<li>right block drawer: collapsable<\/li>\n<li>managers: edit mode via switch at the top right corner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Redesigned start page:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reducing the amount of information<\/li>\n<li>focus on login<\/li>\n<li>clearer distinction between login via RWTH Single Sign-On and login for local accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dashboard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>landing page after login<\/li>\n<li>important blocks: \u201eTimeline\u201c, \u201eRecent Badges\u201c, \u201eNews\u201c und \u201eHelpful Links\u201c<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My Courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>list of course rooms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Course index:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>activity block (previously on the left sidebar) can be added by the managers in the block drawer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Horizontal menu bar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>centrally located<\/li>\n<li>managers: course settings, participant administration, grade administration, and reports. Other elements, e. g. course import, are grouped under &#8220;More&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Question bank (managers):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>expanding of question management<\/li>\n<li>questions can now be saved as drafts<\/li>\n<li>versioning of questions<\/li>\n<li>comment on questions for necessary revision steps as part of a review process<\/li>\n<li>Facility index and discriminative efficiency of a question are displayed directly in the overview<\/li>\n<li>flagging of questions if a review is necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other improvements (managers):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Label&#8221; resource is now &#8220;Text and media area&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>In the editor, creating links has been simplified<\/li>\n<li>participent administration: dropdown menu to get easier access to the group section and other options for managing participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RWTHmoodle was launched in the summer semester 2019 with Moodle version 3.6.3, replacing L\u00b2P which had been used until then.
