DESCRIPTION:Name: Introduction to eXtended Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for Multi-Phase Flow Problems \nDate: April 21\, 2026 \nFormat: online \nMore information & registration \n  \n\n  \nDescription\n\n\nShort abstract:\n\nIn this course\, we cover the main building blocks to solve multi-phase flow problems using the extended Discontinuous Galerkin (XDG) method. Topics are\, amongst others\, the approximation by broken polynomials\, the formulation of XDG schemes via different numerical fluxes and level-set methods. The course consists of a combination of presentations and hands-on exercises in which a simple XDG two-phase flow solver is implemented and run on some test cases within our open-source code framework BoSSS. \nPrerequisites: a working BoSSS and JupyterLab installation \nFurther information: additional information will be announced to the participants in the week before the course. \n\n\n\nInformation about SDL Fluids
