The time has come: RWTHjupyter will become an official service of the IT Center starting with the winter semester 2021\/2022!<\/p>\n<p>How this came about and what this means for you, you can read here.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What happened so far&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>The RWTH JupyterHub was designed in 2019 in a first step in a cooperation between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acs.eonerc.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~dlkd\/E-ON-ERC-ACS\/?lidx=1\">Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems (ACS)<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonerc.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~dmud\/E-ON-ERC\/?lidx=1\">eon.erc<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~rbnjb\/it-center\/?lidx=1\">IT Center<\/a> for the application area teaching at RWTH. In April 2020, the test operation of the JupyterHub cluster started with a small group of selected users from RWTH until it went into pilot operation in February 2021. This has now been successfully completed and decided: RWTHjuypter will go into regular operation and thus become a permanent service of the IT Center!<\/p>\n<h2>What does this mean for you?<\/h2>\n<p>You can look forward to the continuation of the offer! This means that RWTHjupyter will be available to you continuously, just like all other services such as RWTHmoodle.<\/p>\n<p>In general, all members of RWTH Aachen University are entitled to use RWTHjupyter. Similar to what is already the case with <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/1jeqhtat4k0o3\/article\/25d6d1e7d77845b58229f8eaf475ef2c\/\">GigaMove<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the time being, however, the range of functions will remain the same as in the previous pilot operation.
