The MyScore project, which started in 2019 and is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), aims to shape the digitalisation of international university cooperation and student mobility of tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the project, various sub-projects are affiliated at the RWTH, with the IT Center participating in the EMREX sub-project. Within the framework of this sub-project, the IT Center will implement the technical EMREX infrastructure and carry out the integration into RWTHonline. The EMREX platform is an independent, international network that connects various players in the higher education landscape and thus enables global data transfer. This EMREX network is already being used successfully in Scandinavian countries and is therefore already well tested and evaluated. With the joining of RWTH Aachen University in the network, already existing European infrastructures can be used.<\/p>\n<h4>EMREX pilot project<\/h4>\n<p>The EMREX sub-project enables the transfer of digital performance data nationally and internationally. The previously paper-based &#8220;Transcript of Records&#8221; currently represents a high administrative burden for students and administrative staff. The EMREX network can serve as part of a solution for a future-oriented, digital data exchange for students in a national and international context.<\/p>\n<p>The IT Center is currently preparing the technical requirements for joining the EMREX network. For this purpose, possibilities are being examined to connect and implement the EMREX infrastructure in the system landscape of the RWTH in the digital examination system to enable the receipt and sending of digital certificates of achievement. An interface to RWTHonline must be created for this purpose and a connection to other universities must be made possible. By joining the EMREX network, electronic data exchange can be tested and evaluated so that experience can be gained for further projects on international data exchange in the student lifecycle at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>The central goal here is to transform the automation and digitalisation of the entire recognition process in order to realign the administrative process in the field of student mobility and internationalisation.
