We are very pleased to introduce you to this project and its website as well as the new features added in the process.

NHR4CES – Strengths Combined

In NHR4CES, RWTH Aachen University and Technische Universität Darmstadt combine their strengths in HPC applications, algorithms and methods as well as in the efficient use of HPC hardware. The goal of this alliance is to create an ecosystem that combines best practices in HPC and research data management to answer questions that are central to technical developments in business and society.

NHR4CES supports the development of scalable algorithms and software for the study, development, design, construction, evaluation, and production of engineering applications, with a particular focus on engineering and materials science, as well as engineering-oriented physics, chemistry, and medicine.

To achieve these goals, NHR4CES scientists collaborate in topic-specific so-called “Simulation and Data Laboratories” and “Cross-Sectional Groups”. They are the contact persons for HPC users in Germany and also ensure the connection between the users and the HPC infrastructure.

NHR4CES.de Now With New Design

Since the beginning of September, the website nhr4ces.de is now online in a new design. The URL remains the same, but a lot has changed beyond that.

At NHR4CES, the focus is on the comprehensive, multi-layered support, training and consulting concept for users. This is also the focus of the new website.

In addition to a clear presentation of the support options, the contact form for general inquiries and the direct technical contact persons of the Cross-Sectional Groups (CSG) and Simulation and Data Labs (SDL) are available for optimal support.

The Area “Scientific Consulting”

The work of the SDLs and CSGs is essential for the connection between the users and the HPC infrastructure. Four SDLs and CSGs are established in NHR4CES. Their work, the different research fields and training offers for users are presented on the website. In addition, the individual members of the groups and their direct contact options are presented on the website as well. The respective groups and members can be contacted directly by e-mail.

Support in NHR4CES

NHR4CES focuses on engineering and materials science as well as engineering-oriented physics, chemistry and medicine.
