This is an apprenticeship that you can complete exclusively at our IT Center at RWTH Aachen University. One exception is the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, which, however, follows a separate process.<\/p>\n<p>Today we start with a profile of this vocational training. In our upcoming posts, you will get detailed information on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/en\/2023\/03\/13\/bewerbungsprozess-ausbildung\/\">application process<\/a> and insights into the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/en\/2023\/03\/20\/alltag-von-dima-azubis\/\">daily life of an apprentice<\/a> from one of our current apprentices. In the final part of the blog series, which we will split into two articles, we will present you the impressions of <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/en\/2023\/03\/22\/ausbildung-fertig-was-nun-teil-1\/\">former apprentices<\/a> in their position as <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/en\/2023\/04\/14\/ausbildung-fertig-was-nun-teil-2\/\">permanent employees<\/a>.*<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">About Us<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In our department <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/en\/2022\/08\/03\/it-center-bilderraetsel-service-kommunikation\/\">Service &amp; Communications<\/a>, or SeKo for short, we work in three groups with different focuses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IT-ServiceDesk<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge Management and Processes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Marketing and Event Management.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our diverse team consists of about 60 people, including apprentices, student assistants and permanent employees. We are the only department at RWTH Aachen University that trains management assistants for dialogue marketing, or DiMa for short.<\/p>\n<p>Our main task across all groups is to provide first-level support by telephone, in person, and in writing, and thus to ensure the availability of the IT Center at RWTH Aachen University.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">What You Can Expect<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Communicating, organizing, planning, and documenting are just a few keywords that fill the vocational training, in addition to handling exciting projects and using modern communication technology. You will chat, blog, and get in touch with our customers via social networks. During your vocational training, you will also have the opportunity to get to know other departments of the IT Center in a specially tailored exchange program and, above all, to focus on the business aspects of your vocational training.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">What We Expect From You<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We are looking forward to your teamwork and communication skills as well as customer-oriented and commercial thinking. You should also have a secondary school leaving certificate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">The Training Lasts This Long<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>An exciting 36 months<\/strong>. A shortening is also possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">You Will Work Here<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Our main offices are located at <strong>Seffenter Weg 23<\/strong>, where we have an open-plan office that we mainly use for IT support and three other offices, all equipped with modern workstation equipment. A popular contact point for personal support is our office in <strong>SuperC<\/strong>. You will attend school training for theory classes twice a week in Cologne.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">How to Apply<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In our next blog post in this series, we will report in detail on the application process.
