We print on roll paper and then cut the printouts to size so that any format is available, limited only by the roll width.<\/p>\n<p>To optimize the print service, a <a href=\"https:\/\/coop.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/dsp\/\">new portal<\/a> is now available for print processing. The portal, which was designed and programmed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/go\/id\/letj\/?lidx=1\">MATSE<\/a> trainees from the department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/go\/id\/stymr\/?lidx=1#pit\">Process Support and Digitization Study &amp; Teaching (PDSL)<\/a> as part of their major programming work in cooperation with the print service, now makes processes much more transparent and easier. It also significantly improves usability and user experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\"><strong>What&#8217;s new? <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With the new portal, submitting print jobs is a breeze. From now on, you no longer need a user ID card! You can activate yourself for the portal with the help of a role.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\"><strong>How do I get the role? <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Please contact the person who has the role &#8220;Administration Roles&#8221; at your institute. They will be able to assign you the role &#8220;<span class=\"ui-provider bja bjb c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t bjc bjd w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">Nutzung IT Center Druckservice<\/span>&#8220;. Once you have activated the role, you can log in to the print service portal.<\/p>\n<p>To log in to the portal, use the user name in the form campus\\ab123456 and the password for the RWTH Collaboration Account. If you have not used this account before, remember to set a password in <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/6bb72bcccb2c48e9805238b3131f62b2\/\">IdM Selfservice<\/a>.*<\/p>\n<p>Before you can place a print job, a PSP element has to be deposited. This is very simple:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Switch to the tab &#8220;Account\/ Settings<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Add or extend PSP element&#8221; and enter all required information<\/li>\n<li>Now you can generate the transfer authorization. This will simplify and speed up the payment process.<\/li>\n<li>Get the authorization signed (digitally) by an authorized signatory at your institution and forward it to us.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After we have approved the PSP element, you can place print jobs.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Switch to the tab &#8220;New job&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Upload the desired file, select the format, the material and the quantity and click on &#8220;Upload&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Attention: Now select &#8220;Enter &amp; upload data&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>After you have filled in all the information, click on &#8220;Submit data&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Now the order has been submitted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As soon as your order has been printed and subjected to strict quality control by our employees, you will receive an e-mail notification that your order is ready for collection.<\/p>\n<p>You can still pick up your job during our <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/01657442f7a14cd7abfaf243687fd7e0\/article\/da4866049a2d4d9bb4cba33e5ead364d\/\">opening hours<\/a> at the print service or &#8211; after appropriate registration &#8211; at the IT-ServiceDesk, Seffenter Weg 23. If you would like to pick up your print job outside the opening hours of the print service, please send a short e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:druckservice@itc.rwth-aachen.de\">druckservice@itc.rwth-aachen.de<\/a> so that we can assign you the corresponding pickup ID for the IT-ServiceDesk.<\/p>\n<p>In the tab &#8220;Auftragshistorie\u201d (= Order history), you can check the current status of your order or get an overview of your old orders.
