The paper presents a meta-analysis of research on navigation techniques in virtual reality and analyses the associated empirical user studies with respect to their reproducibility. The results indicate a strong need for improvement within the research community, from which the authors derive specific guidelines for the conduct and presentation of future research.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Who is behind the award winners<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Tim Wei\u00dfker joined the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University in February 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher in the Virtual Reality group of the Computational Science and Engineering department as well as the teaching and research area \u201cVirtual Reality and Immersive Visualization\u201d.
