The update includes numerous improvements and adjustments based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/it-center\/it-center\/engagement\/~gpbx\/umfragen\/?lidx=1\">feedback from the user surveys<\/a>, among other things. In this blog post, we would like to inform you about the most important new features.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Training for Teachers<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cls.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~wqacp\/cls\/?lidx=1\">Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS)<\/a> will be offering online training courses from the end of May 2024, in which the most important adjustments and new features will be presented. Further information on the training dates and registration can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/root\/die-rwth\/karriere\/personalentwicklung-an-der-rwth-aachen\/veranstaltungsdatenbank-personalentwickl\/~mkbr\/einzelansicht\/?file=11-5710\">Personnel Development<\/a> event database.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">What Does the Changeover Mean for Me?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Moodle 4.3 brings a revised user interface that further improves user-friendliness. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/8d9eb2f36eea4fcaa9abd0e1ca008b22\/article\/356ba882b22b46588158cc896cc7f3b6\/\">New features<\/a> include collapsible and expandable information on activity completion or prerequisites, extended search and filter functions in assessments and in the question bank, and more easily accessible editing menus. These provide a better overview and quicker access to content.<\/p>\n<p>Overview of the Most Important Changes<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Course Page &#8211; activity cards and page width<br \/>\n<\/strong>The activity cards have been redesigned in Moodle 4.3 and take up less space on the course page. The RWTHmoodle team already anticipated some of the changes in the winter semester 2023\/24 and reduced the icons on the map and the inner spacing of the activity cards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Course Page &#8211; conditions for activity completion<br \/>\n<\/strong>The display of completion conditions for activities has been changed. Multiple prerequisites can be expanded via a &#8220;show more&#8221; dropdown menu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Course Index &#8211; display of activity icons as well as text and media fields<\/strong>In addition to the title of an activity, the course index also shows its icon and now also lists text and media fields. A new three-point menu allows you to expand or collapse all sections in the course index.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Text Editor TinyMCE<br \/>\n<\/strong>The text editor &#8220;TinyMCE&#8221; replaces the previous editor &#8220;Atto&#8221;. The new &#8220;Bulk actions&#8221; function makes it possible to edit several activities, materials or sections at the same time. New <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/8d9eb2f36eea4fcaa9abd0e1ca008b22\/article\/356ba882b22b46588158cc896cc7f3b6\/#4.2%20Grades\">search and filter<\/a> functions as well as a context menu for assessment aspects offer a clearer and more user-friendly view.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collection of Questions<br \/>\n<\/strong>The question collection has an improved <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/8d9eb2f36eea4fcaa9abd0e1ca008b22\/article\/356ba882b22b46588158cc896cc7f3b6\/#4.3%20Question%20bank\">search and filter<\/a> function.
