The token manager, which you need to set up multi-factor authentication, is also integrated there. This makes Selfservice the heart of your data management. And because it is so important, we would like to introduce you to Selfservice and its navigation points.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">User Data<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This page is where it starts! After logging in, the first thing you will see is your <strong>Personal Data<\/strong>. Check that all the details are correct. Which data you can change at this point depends on your affiliation to RWTH. We have compiled a list of who can change which data and when on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/05e8ebbe0121433e9efa4c8114f3622a\/\">IT Center Help<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the <strong>RWTH Data<\/strong> tab, you can see which RWTH affiliation is stored in Identity Management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Accounts and Passwords<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This section is all about your various access data at RWTH. The access data that you will need by far the most are those of the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/2cf300c672914715a0670959f4c5d286\/\">RWTH Single Sign-On<\/a>. This login screen is used before many services. The advantage: you only have to remember one set of access data. To make the login process even more secure and to protect you from data misuse, multifactor authentication has also been added downstream since July 2. So you enter your RWTH Single Sign-On access data, click on \u201clog in\u201d and are then asked for a second factor. You can find out more about MFA on IT Center Help in the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/0f861f53818c44e9a5df6ea7b244dacd\/\">Multifactor Authentication (MFA)<\/a> section.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Account Overview<\/strong>, you can see your various accesses and accounts. You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/6bb72bcccb2c48e9805238b3131f62b2\/\">change passwords<\/a> in this view. We have provided a list of all possible accounts and which services can be used with them on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/bad327f9067a4b15a3e0e424a0afc531\/\">IT Center Help<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the navigation point \u201c<strong>Create Account<\/strong>\u201d. Accounts that are not mandatory are not automatically created when you register in Identity Management. You can simply <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/afa7857832624a8fa5c35a77ebf25cc8\/\">create them yourself<\/a>. Here too, your affiliation to RWTH determines which accounts can be created.<\/p>\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/f6f33a1cfc2049cf8a2708fb2eee971a\/\">delete the optional accounts<\/a> if you no longer need them by clicking on <strong>Delete Account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Token Manager (MFA)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Since July 2, one of the most popular pages of Idm Selfservice: The Token Manager. Here you can activate multi-factor authentication and set up your tokens. We recommend our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eHVdRo9wsN4&amp;list=PL1jPG9xHv0a-Jq9lieG4KZAzx8ZEd_iQT&amp;index=4\">YouTube playlist<\/a> as an introduction to the topic. In the videos, we explain step by step how to create the TAN list and other token types. You can find help and illustrated instructions on IT Center Help in the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/0f861f53818c44e9a5df6ea7b244dacd\/\">Multifactor Authentication (MFA)<\/a> section.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Devices (OAuth)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the navigation point <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/rhb2fhkpjhb7\/article\/d0efbcdfd9604621b821e09471d4a8b4\/\">Devices (OAuth)<\/a> you will find two sub-items: <strong>Applications<\/strong> and <strong>WLAN devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under <strong>Applications<\/strong> you can see and manage all applications that access RWTH services on your behalf. An example of this is the RWTHapp. The application and the device on which the application is installed are displayed in the list. There you can also view the permissions of the apps or revoke the permissions of an application.<\/p>\n<p>Under <strong>WLAN devices<\/strong> you will find the link to the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.rwth-aachen.de\/eduroam\/#start?\">eduroam device manager<\/a> &#8211; there you can create and manage access data for the use of the WLAN <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/b3d9a2c8ae5345b8b8f5128143ef4e3c\/article\/cbaa4207a17643ebb3347d62ce021336\/\">eduroam<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Roles and Groups<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This area is particularly relevant if you work at the RWTH. Some authorizations are regulated by the assignment of roles or membership of groups. You can view your assignments under <strong>Roles <\/strong>and<strong> Groups<\/strong>. The role administration of the respective organizational unit &#8211; i.e. the people with the role \u201cVerwaltung Rollen\u201d (administration of roles) at the institutes and chairs &#8211; decides who receives which roles or is to be added to which group.<\/p>\n<p>Are you wondering who is responsible for role administration at your institute? You can also check this in the Selfservice. To do this, click on <strong>Role Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under <strong>Options<\/strong>, you can then set whether you would like to be notified by e-mail if there are changes to your own roles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Redeem Coupon<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This navigation point is thematically linked to the <strong>Roles and Groups<\/strong> section. If you work at an institute or chair and are to be assigned a specific role, the role administration will issue you with a coupon code. Use this page to redeem it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">BlueCard<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you would like to apply for a BlueCard &#8211; the RWTH student ID card &#8211; you can do so here. Please note that the BlueCard is only issued to certain student groups.
