The diversity of the facilities we visited impressively demonstrated the broad spectrum of research and development at RWTH.<\/p>\n<p>Among others, our groups had the opportunity to explore the following institutes and facilities:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecurie-aix.de\/en\/ecurie-aix-e\">ecurieaix<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maschinenbau.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/maschinenbau\/forschung\/forschungsprofile\/institute-und-lehrstuehle-der-fakultaet\/~baajaw\/wsa\/?lidx=1\">WSA \u2013 Chair of Heat and Masstransfer<\/a><\/li>\n<li>IT Center \u2013 Utility Tunnel beneath WW10 on the Melaten Campus<\/li>\n<li>HKW Melaten \u2013 Melaten Combined Heat and Power Plant<\/li>\n<li>New ISEA Building \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isea.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~ojnv\/isea\/?lidx=1\">Institute for Power Electronics and Electric Drives<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmp.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~fwqn\/mechatronics\/?lidx=1\">MMP \u2013 Mechatronics in Mobile Propulsion<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wzl.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~sijq\/wzl\/?lidx=1\">Machine Hall WZL \u2013 Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ika.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/\">IKA \u2013 Institute for Automotive Engineering<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iww.rwth-aachen.de\/cms\/~lygz\/iww\/?lidx=1\">IWW \u2013 Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tours offered exciting insights into current research, impressive facilities, and innovative technologies\u2014ranging from energy and utility systems to automotive engineering, water management, and modern production technology.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Rally Across Aachen<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After the tours, an exciting rally through Aachen was on the agenda. In small teams, participants followed in the footsteps of Professor Byte, a visionary developer whose scattered clues stretched across the city, from station to station, past some of the city\u2019s most famous landmarks. At the checkpoints, tasks awaited that he had left for the participants.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The stops included, among others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the K\u00f6nigsh\u00fcgel sports complex<\/li>\n<li>the historic K\u00e1rm\u00e1ntor<\/li>\n<li>the traditional Ponttor<\/li>\n<li>the main building of RWTH Aachen University<\/li>\n<li>as well as a visit to the famous Lindt Easter Bunny at the Lindt factory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The rally not only offered the opportunity to discover the city from a new perspective but also led to many creative solutions, team coordination, and, of course, plenty of fun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Wrapping up Together Over Lunch<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After an eventful morning, the company outing came to a cozy conclusion with a group lunch at a restaurant. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants were able to share their impressions of the day, make new connections, and deepen existing ones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Thank You for the Organization<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A big thank you goes to our management and the party team for the excellent organization of this day.
