The RWTHmoodle \u201cOrganizer\u201d plugin is a helpful tool for this purpose. It allows you to plan and manage appointments. In addition, learning space managers can enter grades.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog post, you\u2019ll learn how the plugin works and how you can use it as a student or instructor.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Organizer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The \u201cOrganizer\u201d plugin greatly simplifies scheduling appointments. Learning space managers simply need to integrate the tool into their Moodle learning space; students can then select appointments themselves from the available time slots. Alternatively, appointments can also be assigned by instructors. These appointments can be scheduled either individually or in groups.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, students can receive email reminders for their appointments. Learning space managers can also be notified of new appointment bookings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Configuring the Organizer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To use the Organizer, it must first be set up in the learning space. A variety of configuration options are available:<\/p>\n<p>First, learning space managers must create time slots from which students can select appointments. The maximum number of participants can be limited to specify whether the appointments should be group or individual sessions. Learning space managers can decide whether appointment bookings should be visible to all participants or not. Waiting lists can be created for appointments that are already fully booked. This gives students the opportunity to be added to the waiting list for these appointments.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed <a href=\"https:\/\/help.itc.rwth-aachen.de\/en\/service\/8d9eb2f36eea4fcaa9abd0e1ca008b22\/article\/4994272414ce4e5f922f0a7df920d457\/\">instructions for configuring the organizer<\/a> are available in IT Center Help.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Leave Feedback<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After an appointment, there are additional actions that can be taken. For example, participating students can be marked as \u201cPresent.\u201d Managers can then allow them to book a follow-up session. Additionally, a rating can be submitted. This is particularly useful when using the organizer for oral exams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Usage for Students<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Once configured, the organizer is available to students. They can filter the slot overview to view available, booked, and past sessions. Using the \u201cRegister\u201d and \u201cReschedule\u201d buttons, students can book appointments or reschedule appointments they have already booked.<\/p>\n<p>In the appointment overview, students can only book one appointment at a time.
