Especially at universities, these technologies play an important role and support studies, teaching and research.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In universities in NRW, the number of provided services is growing continuously. Also, communication between universities is gaining more and more importance. Within the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rwth-aachen.de\/itc\/2021\/01\/13\/idm-nrw-vorprojekt\/\">feasibility study<\/a>(german only), the necessity of a federated identity management has been proven. The task of the follow-up project <em>Federated Identity Management.nrw<\/em> is to enable cross-university access to the services offered by the universities in NRW. In future, countless and inconveniently accounts distributed across universities will no longer be necessary.<\/p>\n<p>In order to inform you about this exciting project, we have set up a new <a href=\"https:\/\/idm.dh.nrw\/\">website<\/a>.
