Regardless of whether a service is provided specifically for a single customer or in the same way for many customers, corresponding processes must be developed or analysed and optimised. The customers and users of the (IT-)services provided by the IT Center include not only students, employees and institutions of RWTH Aachen University, but also other universities and external research institutions and companies. Digitization, cloud, high-performance computing, 5G and the associated IT infrastructure &#8211; the developments in the IT industry are unstoppable. In order to drive these developments forward in the long term, the IT Centre is constantly on the lookout for new employees.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Even during the pandemic, the IT Center did not stop looking for new staff and thus a total of 32 new employees have been hired at the IT Center since April 2020.<\/p>\n<p>But since March 2020, almost all employees have also been in home offices &#8211; so it was time for a rethink:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onboarding &#8211; digitally and with heart! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Processes were changed, interviews were conducted digitally and new onboarding concepts were developed. One thing is still important to everyone involved: the new employees should be brought on board quickly, effectively, comprehensively and, above all, with heart and personality and get to know the team &#8211; even from the home office.<\/p>\n<p>In our new blog series &#8220;Onboarding &#8211; digital and with heart&#8221;, you can find out whether we succeed in this, how the digital job interviews work and what the induction concepts look like.<\/p>\n<p>Every two weeks you will get a glimpse behind the scenes.
