Oktober 2023 mit ihrem Beitrag \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.1145\/3611659.3615697\">Stay Vigilant: The Threat of a Replication Crisis in VR Locomotion Research<\/a>\u201d den Best Paper Award auf dem 29th ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Wir geben euch in diesem Beitrag einen kleinen Einblick und Hintergr\u00fcnde des Papers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Das Papier pr\u00e4sentiert eine Meta-Analyse von Forschungsarbeiten zu Navigationstechniken in Virtual Reality und analysiert die zugeh\u00f6rigen empirischen Benutzungsstudien auf ihre Reproduzierbarkeit. Die Ergebnisse zeigen einen starken Verbesserungsbedarf innerhalb der Forschungsgemeinschaft auf, aus welchem die Autoren konkrete Richtlinien f\u00fcr die Durchf\u00fchrung und Pr\u00e4sentation k\u00fcnftiger Forschungsarbeiten ableiten.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #00549f;\">Wer steckt hinter den Preistr\u00e4gern?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Tim Wei\u00dfker arbeitet seit Februar 2022 als Postdoktorand am IT Center der RWTH Aachen in der Gruppe f\u00fcr Virtuelle Realit\u00e4t der Abteilung Computational Science and Engineering sowie am Lehr- und Forschungsgebiet \u201cVirtuelle Realit\u00e4t und Immersive Visualisierung\u201d.
