A<\/span>s part of the European Robotics Forum (ERF) Hackathon 2022, six IGMR students demonstrated their talent in prototyping and working with robots. <\/span>T<\/span>he hackathon challenge<\/span> was set by Lely, among others. <\/span>T<\/span>heir<\/span> ‘<\/span><\/span>Juno<\/span>‘<\/span><\/span> mobile<\/span> robots<\/span> are<\/span> autonomous<\/span> cylindrical<\/span> platforms<\/span> whose<\/span> main<\/span> task<\/span> is<\/span> to<\/span> move<\/span> the<\/span> fencing<\/span> around<\/span> cows<\/span> on<\/span> farms<\/span> to<\/span> make<\/span> the<\/span> feed<\/span> pushed<\/span> into<\/span> the<\/span> space<\/span><\/span> accessible<\/span> again<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>T<\/span>he<\/span> hackathon<\/span> task<\/span><\/span> was<\/span> similar<\/span>:<\/span> two<\/span> Juno<\/span> robots<\/span> had<\/span> to<\/span> move<\/span> along<\/span> the<\/span> walls<\/span> of<\/span><\/span> two<\/span> interconnected<\/span> rooms<\/span> at<\/span> a<\/span> given<\/span><\/span> distance<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>A<\/span>dditional<\/span><\/span> restrictions<\/span> and<\/span> challenges<\/span> were<\/span> added<\/span> for<\/span> extra<\/span> points<\/span><\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>T<\/span>he<\/span> team<\/span> was<\/span> successful<\/span><\/span> at<\/span> the<\/span> hackathon<\/span> in<\/span> Rotterdam<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>A<\/span>fter<\/span> a<\/span> neck-and-neck<\/span> race<\/span>,<\/span> the<\/span><\/span> first<\/span> place<\/span> went<\/span> to<\/span> TU<\/span> Delft<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>A<\/span>t<\/span> the<\/span> award<\/span> ceremony<\/span>,<\/span> we<\/span> were<\/span> praised<\/span> as<\/span> the<\/span> most<\/span> cooperative<\/span> team<\/span><\/span> for<\/span> our<\/span> “<\/span>constant<\/span> support<\/span> of<\/span> other<\/span> teams<\/span> in<\/span> design<\/span> and<\/span> 3<\/span>D<\/span> printing<\/span>“<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>T<\/span>his ‘<\/span>exemplary behaviour‘<\/span> is much<\/span> appreciated and we look forward to taking part<\/span> again next year.<\/span><\/p>\n
