successfully <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">participated<\/span> in the German <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">Championship<\/span> (formerly the Olympics) in Robot System Integration at FANUC Germany!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>his year&#8217;s<\/span> task was the variable loading and <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">palletising<\/span> of boxes. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">I<\/span>n addition to the independent <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">design<\/span> of the entire cell, both real and virtual, the implementation also included the digital drawing of components, the setting of safety functions, error detection, <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">user friendliness<\/span> and instructions, as well as <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">the integration of sensors<\/span>, <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">actuators<\/span> and <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">cameras<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">S<\/span>imon Strauch and Florian Menz competed under the team name <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">&#8220;<\/span>IGMR<span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">&#8220;<\/span>, while Frederick van Kerkom and Sebastian Polzin took part as the <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">&#8220;<\/span>RWTH<span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">&#8220;<\/span> team. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>hey<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">were<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">accompanied<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">by<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">former<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">participant<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">Sophie<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">Charlotte<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">Keunecke<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">as<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">their<\/span> <span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">coach<\/span><span class=\"--l --r group hover:text-blue-chill lmt__words_highlight\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>he four students have been working independently with the FANUC Education Cell in the IGMR in their free time over the past few months<span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">, learning<\/span> TP programming and simulation in RoboGuide. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>he effort was worth it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>eam IGMR presented a very impressive real and virtual Cell installation<span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">, implementing<\/span> every menu option for customer convenience and error handling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>eam RWTH achieved the fastest lap times in both timings with 57 seconds and shone with a very detailed simulation and documentation. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">W<\/span>e are very proud of all four participants for their great performance!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">A<\/span> special <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">thanks<\/span> to FANUC Germany for the great implementation and the <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">exceptional<\/span> cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>he FANUC Education Cell is <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">an essential part<\/span> of <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">the<\/span> practical teaching <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">of<\/span> robotics and offers students the opportunity to try out the handling of industrial robots and the use of frames (coordinate systems) and to
