ROS course, which is integrated as JupyterHub under <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">RWTHJupyter<\/span>. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>his course offers an interactive way to learn and deepen the basics of ROS (Robot Operating System).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">R<\/span>OS is an <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">open source<\/span> framework that <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">allows<\/span> developers to simplify the control of robots and their sensors. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">I<\/span>t <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">provides<\/span> a <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">set<\/span> of tools and libraries that make it possible to simplify <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">the<\/span> communication between the <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">different<\/span> components of a robot and speed up the development of applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">O<\/span>ur course covers the <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">main<\/span> topics required to work with ROS. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>hese include <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">using<\/span> ROS nodes, topics, services and actions, <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">using<\/span> ROS libraries such as tf (transform library) and moveit (motion planning library), <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">and developing<\/span> your own ROS packages. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">W<\/span>orking with different robot platforms is also covered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">S<\/span>pecial emphasis<\/span> is placed on the use of Jupyter notebooks to <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">make<\/span> the course <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">interactive<\/span> and <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">vivid<\/span>. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r hover:bg-light-blue hover:cursor-pointer lmt__write_highlight_sentence py-[3px] sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"--l --r lmt__sentence_beginning_anchor_highlight relative\">T<\/span>his <span class=\"--l --r border-b-2 border-green-200 group-hover:text-blue-chill lmt__write_highlight relative text-green-700\">allows students<\/span> to <span class=\"--l --r
