Introduction KI:connect
Based on RWTHgpt, RWTH has launched the state-wide project KI:connect.nrw on July 1, 2024, which is funded by the NRW Ministry of Culture and Science. As part of this project, RWTH is making our central web application available to the state’s universities. The nationwide rollout began in July 2025.

Utilize the old Claix module environment on the new Rocky 9 systems
We are offering a new container module on our Rocky 9 systems that allows you to run all the software that was available via the module system on Rocky 8. The image was created in an effort to make the transitioning phase smoother for users that require deprecated software versions or who run software that causes problems in a Rocky 9 environment.
The module can be loaded as any other container module via
ml claix23/rocky8-compat

HPC Rocky Linux 9 Nodes
Yesterday we updated half of our available compute nodes to Rocky Linux 9. This reduced the available Rocky Linux 8 nodes by half and might lead to increase waiting times on the older OS nodes. We advice all users to continue migrating their workflows to Rocky Linux 9.

Deletion of course rooms of the summer semester 2022
In line with the life cylce of course rooms with connection to RWTHonline, the summer semester 2022 course rooms were deleted on June 2, 2025.
