IT Center Information Day

The IT Center hosts an annual information day, which contributes to a comprehensive presentation of the range of services.

Intention

The aim is to present the IT Center as a central IT provider of RWTH Aachen University and as a partner for research and teaching. Furthermore, this platform should serve to document the participation of the IT Center in central projects of RWTH Aachen University or the intensive cooperation with other institutions (ZHV, BTH, institutes, etc.).

Main focus

Based on these requirements, the following three focus areas emerge:

The IT Center

  1. as IT service provider (Offers for employees and facilities, new services, upcoming changes, etc.),
  2. as Partner of the institutes in research and teaching as well as for central projects.
  3. as Training company in IT (for example MATSE).

In addition to lectures on the above-mentioned focal points, you can expect a poster exhibition and sufficient space for individual talks and discussions. In addition, we offer guided tours of the machine hall and the aixCAVE.

The IT Center Information Day is primarily aimed at customers, i.e. members of RWTH and close cooperation partners.

The Information Days 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to Corona.
