Parallel Computing with MATLAB 2

Tuesday, 9. May 2023 ► 14:00 - 17:00

Using MATLAB on the RWTH IT Center HPC-Cluster

Live Session: Tuesday May 9th, 2 PM – 5 PM (3 hours)

Instructor: Raymond Norris, The MathWorks Application Engineering (Parallel Computing)

With MATLAB and the MATLAB Parallel Server, researchers can use the familiar MATLAB environment to run computationally intensive MATLAB programs efficiently on computer clusters. This hands-on tutorial will introduce participants who are familiar with MATLAB to the MATLAB parallel language and MATLAB Parallel Server needed to scale their MATLAB applications to HPC clusters. The focus will be on writing robust parallel code as well as running batch jobs on the RWTH IT Center HPC cluster.

If you are new to parallel computing with MATLAB you should attend part 1 of this workshop (May 2nd) as a prerequisite.

A desktop installation of MATLAB on your computer, including the Parallel Computing Toolbox, is necessary for this workshop.

Who is this for?

The training is for students, junior scientists and researchers who want to use MATLAB on the HPC Cluster of the RWTH IT Center. Working knowledge of MATLAB in general and the parallel language constructs MATLAB offers are recommended for this workshop.

Registration

Please register until May 7th.
