Not long now – stewards, data experts, data curators and anyone interested in the topic of RDM will be meeting in Aachen for the third Data Stewardship goes Germany Workshop 2024. The focus will be on the participants themselves and their networks in the field of data stewardship. However, not only the two-day workshop, but also the two additional training courses as part of Data Stewardship goes Germany (DSgG) invite you to spend the late summer in Aachen. Deepening the Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata
The two-day training course “Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata: Why Context Matters” offers you an introduction to the basics of scientific metadata.
Dive into the complex relationship between (digital) research data, metadata and knowledge and discuss why metadata is crucial in today’s research. Organized in collaboration with the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC) and the RDM team at RWTH Aachen University, the satellite event will be held in English for a small group of up to 25 participants.

The Heliocentric Model of Open Science – Literature Content Management
In this course, participants will have the opportunity to spend an afternoon learning how to read papers better and keep track of what they have read. A literature content management system, which will be presented in the course, should help to get more out of the information in articles in the future. You can look forward to exciting discussions and an interesting exchange in a small group of up to 25 participants. The training will be held in cooperation with the Central Library, Forschungszentrum Jülich and the RWTH RDM team and will be held in English.
