Efficient research data management is essential for researchers in order to secure their data in the long term, make it findable and prepare it for reuse. As part of Love Data Week 2025, two workshops on Coscine were held to tackle precisely these challenges. While the first workshop on February 10, provided a general introduction, the focus of the second workshop on February 14, was on metadata management.

In this article, we give you a brief review of the Coscine workshops. But that’s not all! We would like to go one step further: Coscine thrives on the community! Researchers can share their own scripts, workflows and automation solutions. We are now calling for active participation, with the chance to win!
