Follow-up Report on the First CoRDI – Conference on Research Data Infrastructure

For the first time, the “Conference on Research Data Infrastructure” took place in Karlsruhe from 12 to 14 September 2023. The conference was organised by the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) Association in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and brought together national and international experts from various research fields and research data management infrastructures under the motto “Connecting Communities”. With numerous scientific talks, discussions, guest lectures, poster presentations and networking opportunities, the event focused on the comprehensive use of research data. Our Review of RWTH Young Academics Day 2023

The academic world can be an exciting, but also challenging environment. New Data Strategy for Germany

Germany is getting a new National Data Strategy – this was decided by the Federal Cabinet on August 30, 2023. The new strategy “Progress through data use – Strategy for more and better data for new, effective and forward-looking data use” is intended to build on the existing data strategy from 2021 and promote the development and expansion of data competencies.

Follow-up Report – RDM Workshop in Essen

From June 14-16, 2023, the Coscine team participated in the RDM workshop hosted by Landesinitiative fdm.nrw in Essen. The RDM workshop offered the opportunity to try out different tools, including Coscine. In different sessions, special functions of the individual tools were presented, which could be tried out by the participants during or afterwards. In addition, the workshop was an optimal opportunity to exchange information about the respective tools and to network. (*)
