Finden Sie in der Veranstaltung heraus, ob Git das richtige Tool für Ihre Forschungsdaten ist.
Die Veranstaltung ist Teil einer Serie von Vertiefungsmodulen zum Forschungsdatenmanagement (FDM II – modular), die regelmäßig im Monatsrhythmus angeboten werden. Die Module stehen gleichwertig nebeneinander und können unabhängig voneinander besucht werden. Grundlagen zum FDM an der RWTH werden im RWTHmoodle-Kurs „Überblick zum Management von Forschungsdaten (FDM I – online)“ vermittelt.
Im online Workshop werden hands-on einfache Git-Befehle ausprobiert und grundlegende Arbeitsabläufe umgesetzt. Die Arbeit mit Git in der Konsole hilft, ein Grundverständnis für das Tool zu erlangen. Sie werden ausreichend Zeit haben, Ihre Fragen zu adressieren und über Einsatzszenarien und Ihre konkreten Arbeitsabläufe zu sprechen.

Love Data Week 2023
Die Love Data Week (LDW) ist eine internationale Aktionswoche, in der gemeinsam über Forschungsdaten diskutiert und nachgedacht wird. Unter dem Motto “Data: Agent of Change” wird die Datenliebe 2023 weltweit vom 13.–17. Februar mit zahlreichen Veranstaltungen zu unterschiedlichsten FDM-Themen zelebriert. Die FDM-Initiativen in Deutschland möchten mit einer breiten Beteiligung an der LDW mehr Aufmerksamkeit für FDM generieren.

Am 22. Februar 2023 findet der Online Workshop “Forschungsdatenmanagement in DFG-Anträgen – was Forschungsförderer erwarten (FDM II-modular)” von 10:00 – 12:00 Uhr statt.

We continue with the follow-up report on the afternoon program of the Research Data Day 2022 held at the RWTH Aachen University. Just as last year, researchers from all over North Rhine-Westphalia were allowed to get a taste of the Coscine workshop and ask their questions about the platform for research data management. Persistent Identifier – PIDs for Archives in Coscine

Three years ago, we provided insights into our RDM statistics on the RDM blog, and in the blog post RDM Statistics: 891 PIDs, we showed how the number of Persistent Identifiers had developed over the last few years up to 2018 at RWTH Aachen University.
But what about the PIDs three years later and to what extent does Coscine play a role in this? We addressed these questions in this blog post.

Online Workshop | Using Wikidata – Basics of Knowledge Graphs Explained
Wikidata is the free knowledge base of the Wikimedia Foundation. A structured, machine-readable pool of data that anyone can edit and use. Therefore, it is a shining example of Open Knowledge and FAIR data in the semantic web: the data are findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
But how does the semantic web work? How is the information structured and interlinked? How can we find and use the information or contribute to it ourselves? Find out in this hands-on workshop by using Wikidata.
The workshop is part of a series of in-depth modules on research data management (FDM II – modular), which are regularly offered on the 4th Wednesday of the month. The modules are on par with each other and can be attended independently. Please join the RWTHmoodle course “Research Data Management – an Overview (RDM I – online)” in advance.
