Are you familiar with the Status Message Portal?
The website maintenance.rz.rwth-aachen.de provides you with messages about current maintenance, (partial) malfunctions, and outages of all central IT systems of the IT Center. The details specify what is going on, since when, and – if known – when it is expected to be resolved.
Since October 15, 2025, it has a new look and improved features.
New Look, New Features, Improved Service
All IT services are listed in the Status Message Portal. Each service has its own list entry with a short preview indicating whether there are any messages for the service and when the last update was made. In these cases, the service then has a specific status. By clicking on a service, you can view all entries related to it.
However, since the list of our services is very long, a filter option has been added. This allows you to filter between the different status types:
- Malfunctions (including partial malfunctions)
- Maintenance
- Warnings
- Notices
- Normal operation
This allows you to quickly find out which maintenance is pending or whether there are any malfunctions at the moment.
Looking for a specific service in the list? The new search bar can help! Simply enter the desired term and the list will automatically be searched for that service.
Accessibility
The new design ensures accessibility: the service status is now not only indicated by a color code, but also by the status type in text form.
Responsive Design
Want to quickly check whether maintenance is due or there is a disruption while you’re on the go? No problem! The Status Message Portal has been adapted to a responsive design, making it more user-friendly for mobile devices.
