In 2015, the IT Center blog was founded as a modern information and communication platform. Since then, our blog has become increasingly well-known and popular. This constantly positive development is also reflected in the number of visitors, page views and interactions. Our articles are aimed at students, staff, IT managers as well as cooperation partners of RWTH Aachen University and beyond that to all interested parties.

The blog is maintained by us, the members of the marketing & eventmanagement group (short Marie) within the service & communication department (short SeKo), as part of the “external communication” area of responsibility. In cooperation with colleagues from the various departments of the IT Center, the editorial team writes interesting and useful articles several times a week to keep you regularly informed about current developments.

In addition, we publish tips and suggestions on how to use the IT Center’s services. We provide insights into the daily work, offer interesting competitions, write blogseries on exciting topics and sometimes post a feel-good article to lighten up your everyday Life. But the blog and our social media channels also serve as proactive and transparent communication tools in times of crisis.

Since 1st april 2016, you have been able to comment on our posts – the first step towards more exchange in the community and thus more proximity to the readers.

We write all articles bilingually – after all, more than 57,000 people from more than 125 countries study, research, teach and work at RWTH Aachen University and we want to share our information with all of you. We welcome feedback and exchange with you – feel free to leave us your comments below our posts.
