But permanent access to digital data is not only an important issue in the private sphere, but also in the research context. Archiving With Coscine – A Field Report

Recently, the IT Center Blog team reported on the large-scale project “The Archive Migration” – What has happened so far” of the IT Center and RWTH Aachen University. By 30 June 2022, the archive migration should be completed and all classified archive nodes transferred to Coscine and the DigitalArchive. Archiving research data has already been possible with Coscine since last year. In this article, we address some queries from researchers and explain the background to why you should archive your research data with Coscine.

The flyer for Research Data Management (RDM) has been given a new coat of paint. Once a bit outdated, the document has been put through its paces over the last six months of collaboration with Marketing and Event Management (Marie) and the RDM team, consisting of the IT Center’s Research Process & Data Management (RPDM) department and the University Library (UB), and finalized for the public.
