Python Workshop
From March 17 to 18, 2025, from 9am to 5pm each, a practical Python workshop will take place in Aachen, organized by NFDI4Microbiota and the Rhine-Ruhr Center for Scientific Data Literacy (DKZ.2R). This workshop is aimed at PhD students and researchers who want to expand their programming skills. The event provides an introduction to Python 3, including working with variables, data types, pandas for data analysis and Matplotlib for visualizations.
Participants will learn not only programming basics, but also practical applications for their research. The workshop fosters a collaborative learning environment and is open to all interested parties, although members of the DKZ.2R and NFDI4Microbiota consortium have priority registration.
Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop with Mac, Linux or Windows operating system (no tablets or Chromebooks) with administrative privileges and install specific software packages listed here.
