Coscine Support Summit 2026 For Efficient Support Workflows

On April 22, 2026, the Coscine Support Summit took place at the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University. Around 15 participants from seven different universities came together to engage in an in-depth exchange on key support processes and to collaborate on their further development. The focus was particularly on the application for and review of storage resources.

On May 31, 2023, Coscine was presented as part of the Coffee Lecture series of the Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management. This time, everything revolved around the topic of “FAIR research data management (RDM) from the very beginning”. Coscine offers an innovative solution for storing, managing and archiving research and metadata. The goal is to support researchers in their work and to promote collaboration across organizational boundaries. Learn how fair RDM works in Coscine and how Coscine can be used in this blog post.
Archiving With Coscine – A Field Report

Recently, the IT Center Blog team reported on the large-scale project “The Archive Migration” – What has happened so far” of the IT Center and RWTH Aachen University. By 30 June 2022, the archive migration should be completed and all classified archive nodes transferred to Coscine and the DigitalArchive. Archiving research data has already been possible with Coscine since last year. In this article, we address some queries from researchers and explain the background to why you should archive your research data with Coscine.
