FAIRplay in Practice – NFDI4Chem
To celebrate NRW Research Data Day (TdF) on November 18, 2025, we would like to give you a sneak preview of our “RDM Practice” and “RDM Services” arenas. These are worth venturing into on the action day for research data management (RDM). This article provides an overview of the contribution by Fabian Fink (RWTH Aachen University) entitled “All Chemists publish FAIR data.”

Mark your calendars for November 18, 2025! That’s the date of the fifth Research Data Day (TdF) in North Rhine-Westphalia. Under the motto “FAIR Data – FAIR Play: just a matter of line-up” you can expect a practical program featuring a panel discussion with leading NFDI representatives in the morning and an information and networking event in the afternoon. Together with Forschungszentrum Jülich, we will showcase services, practical examples, ideas, and concepts for the successful, FAIR handling of research data!

Review of Research Data Day 2024
“Into the data garden: Let your research bloom!” was the motto of last week’s nationwide Research Data Day (RDD) in North Rhine-Westphalia. This year’s RDD took place on November 12, 2024 and offered researchers and those interested in RDM an attractive range of information on the topic of Research Data Management (RDM). The aim of the event is to present current developments and services in the field of RDM, to increase the visibility of the topic and to strengthen networking within the community.

Make a note of the second Tuesday in November – November 12, 2024! That’s when the Day of Research Data (TdF) will take place in NRW for the fourth time.
