The IT Center of RWTH Aachen University was once again represented at this year’s event. On Friday 19 September 2025, a total of 7,523 runners from 518 companies took part in the race. As usual, the sporting event took place around Pascalstraße in Aachen-Oberforstbach.
The summery weather, with bright sunshine and temperatures reaching 26 degrees, made every kilometer a real challenge. Nevertheless, everyone was happy and the mood was great.
Our team was smaller than in previous years, but more committed than ever. Amrita Deb Dutta and Ben Thärigen ran 3.3 kilometers, and Kai Salinger, Ruizhang Zhou, and Marc Steffens competed in the 6.6-kilometer middle distance. All participants were satisfied with their results. Most importantly, no one was injured, and everyone crossed the finish line in good health. Special thanks go to this year’s company captain, Amrita, who ran and took on the organization with great commitment.
Although we had a smaller group this time, we focused on having fun running together. We hope to inspire more colleagues to participate in the event again next year. Because running together is simply better! As always, the proceeds from the run will go to various social projects in Aachen. This additional motivation makes the Aachen Company Run a special experience every time.
