On October 9, 2026, the IT Center Fall Festival took place. This year, for the first time, the traditional Oktoberfest became the IT Center Fall Festival. New name, same concept: bringing IT Center employees together to celebrate a wonderful festival. This year without traditional costumes, but with just as much fun.
It’s Party Time
Starting at 2pm, around 100 employees gathered at our Wendlingweg location to kick off the celebration together. The celebration began with warm remarks from our Deputy Managing Director Georg Schramm. Next, the buffet was opened, to which numerous colleagues contributed homemade dishes. This was complemented by grilled delicacies and flavourful soups. Beverages such as soft drinks, beer, and apple cider ensured everyone was well-fed and hydrated in true fall style.

Let the Games Begin
Despite the new name, our Olympics are, of course, still here. After all, what would a celebration be without games, fun, and a dash of ambition? Various events—such as can toss with chestnuts and pinecones, log nailing, Jenga, and Memory—required skill, teamwork, and a healthy dose of ambition. The log-nailing game remained very popular even after the awards ceremony.
This year, however, there was something special: Teams were randomly assigned on the spot. This led to many new team combinations, and colleagues who might not interact much in their day-to-day work were able to get to know each other better. When it came to choosing team names, the focus was on forest animals. For example, the teams competed as wild boars, squirrels, and foxes. The Brown Bears team won the Olympics. Congratulations!
Celebrating Together

The Fall Festival demonstrated once again how important such occasions are for team spirit at the IT Center. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to extend a very special thank you to the party team, who organized the event with great passion and dedication. Without you, events like this wouldn’t be possible, and you consistently manage to bring the IT Center staff together. We’d also like to thank our management for making such a celebration possible in the first place!
We look back on a successful Fall Festival and are already looking forward to all the upcoming!
