Since the introduction of RWTHmoodle in 2019, the usage survey for our teaching and learning platform has become a tradition. This year, we want to know how you rate the platform in terms of performance and usability, among other things. Anyone who is booked as a learning room manager in a learning room can also answer questions on the topics of training and AI tools.
Were you booked in at least one learning room as a student, additional participant, supervisor or learning room manager in the summer semester 2025? Then take your chance from August 4 to 24, 2025 to contribute to the improvement of RWTHmoodle and the support services by participating in the usage survey.
Reasons for Participation
Over the years, the system has grown steadily and regularly undergoes new releases and updates. We need your feedback so that we know where things are still stuck. With the survey, we collect your suggestions for improving RWTHmoodle and the associated support services. This is the only way we can respond specifically to your needs and further improve the learning experience at RWTH.
What You Have Achieved So Far
In last year’s blog post on the RWTHmoodle user survey 2024, we presented the improvements that we have implemented based on your feedback. These included optimised performance, changes to the design, an update to the streaming server and an expansion of the training courses on offer. Your feedback also repeatedly highlighted the desire for more standardisation in the learning spaces. For this reason, course templates were designed and have been tested since the summer semester. With these course templates, we would like to support teachers in creating their learning spaces in a clear, standardised and didactically meaningful way.
Conditions of Participation and Duration
All students, lecturers and staff as well as external participants who used RWTHmoodle in the summer semester 2025 and had access to at least one learning space are cordially invited to take part in the voluntary survey. The survey takes about 10 minutes, but can be interrupted at any time and continued at a later date.
Take Part and Win
As tradition would have it, we are giving away a total of 15 Schenk Lokal Aachen vouchers worth 15 euros each among all completed questionnaires. So take the opportunity to give us your opinion – and with a bit of luck you could win one of the vouchers, which you can redeem at various local retailers in Aachen.
Realisation and Responsible Persons
The survey is a joint project of the IT Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning Services, Department of Learning Platforms, Evaluation, Assessment & Analytics (LEA), at RWTH Aachen University. These teams are actively involved in continuously improving the user experience of RWTHmoodle and are also available for questions and feedback.
Results from Previous Years
If you are interested in the results of previous RWTHmoodle user surveys, you can find all evaluations of the last years on the IT Center website.
