RWTHonline Survey 2020 for Students

This summer, the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University surveyed students for the first time on a larger scale about their opinion of RWTHonline. Students were asked about user satisfaction and concrete usability of RWTHonline, the technical support provided by the IT Center and the new RWTHonline support form. The current overall rating of RWTHonline was also evaluated.

Strong participation from students

The feedback was very numerous and extensive: 4150 students, or about 9% of the student body, participated in the survey and left nearly 10,000 open comments on RWTHonline!

Dear students, your constructive feedback is a very good basis for the further development of RWTHonline. We were very pleased to receive it! The results have now been evaluated and discussed. You can now find a report on the result in German  on the IT Center website.

Overall, the students were quite satisfied with RWTHonline. Problems with the login were by far the most frequently reported compared to all other problems that can occur when using this service. There was a lot of constructive criticism of the student desktop – the home page of RWTHonline. In addition, many suggestions were made on how RWTHonline as a whole could be made clearer and more user-friendly, including in particular the administration of courses and exams. This feedback will help to further improve RWTHonline. The support form had only been used by a few students at the time of the survey.

We are pleased with the satisfaction with the technical support of the IT-ServiceDesk and encourage the IT Center to do a good job.
