This talk is about an industrial internship at FGH GmbH from 01.06.2023 to 20.10.2023, working as a software developer in the team “Flexible Softwarelösungen”.

For more than 100 years, FGH GmbH has been working with its member companies from the entire energy sector and electrotechnical solutions for maintaining the security of supply of electrical energy. Today, it is working on the technical grid integration of innovative and smart equipment, develops software solutions for network operators, supports the energy transition and carries out electrical engineering tests in the laboratory and in the field.

My internship is about further development of productive software systems in the area of capacity validation of energy supply systems, which are called iDaVinCy (intraday Validation of Capacity) and DAVinCy (Day-Ahead Validation of Capacity). In order to improve test automation process for these two tools, a Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for quality assurance was designed, built and maintained. Some new features were added to the tools with respect to different requirements as well. Meanwhile, the management of Git repositories, compatibility check and code refactoring were also conducted.
