From February 10 to 14, 2025, the Love Data Week (LDW) will be celebrated across Germany – the perfect opportunity to finally give our secret passion for research data the shine it deserves. Under the motto “Whose Data Is It, Anyway?”, this year is all about questioning the control over our data with a pinch of curiosity. As in previous years, Coscine will once again be taking part – this year with two workshops!
Data to Fall In Love With: Coscine Workshops for the Love Data Week
The Coscine team has come up with something very special for Love Data Week 2025: You can look forward to two exciting online workshops that will introduce you to the world of research data with charm and expertise.
1. Basic workshop on Coscine (RDM II-Modular)
Date: February 10, 2025 Time: 1-3pm
Curious about what Coscine can actually do? In the basic workshop, we will give you an insight into the basic functions of the platform. Then it’s your turn: try out for yourself how Coscine can make your work easier.
2. Metadata basics and creating metadata profiles for Coscine ( RDM II-Modular)
Date: February 14, 2025 Time: 10am – 12pm
Now it’s getting serious – but don’t worry, we’ll take you by the hand! This workshop is all about the love of metadata and how you can use it to bring order to your data. Using the metadata profile generator in Coscine, you will create your own metadata profile and learn how to manage your research data more easily. After this workshop, your love for your data and descriptive metadata will be strengthened.
Why Take Part?
Love Data Week is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your RDM skills and have lots of fun at the same time. Coscine’s workshops offer not only practical knowledge, but also an inspiring exchange with other researchers. Data love can be contagious – try it out!
