Data Stewardship goes Germany 2024

This year’s Data Stewardship goes Germany (DSgG) workshop will take place at RWTH Aachen University on September 11 and 12, 2024. After Braunschweig and Dresden, this year’s workshop, organized by the Research Data Management working group at TU9, will take place in the imperial city of Aachen. Submit your contribution by June 10, 2024 and secure one of the coveted places.

 

About the DSgG

In fall 2024, the Data Stewardship goes Germany workshop will take place for the third time in a row. This year, RWTH Aachen University is hosting the two-day event at the SuperC from September 11 to 12. The workshop series is themed “Research Data Management (RDM) in Science and Technology” and is primarily aimed at data stewards, also known as research data (handling) officers, as well as anyone interested in the topic of RDM. This year, the focus is on the participants and their development of networks in the field of data stewardship.

 

Join in and Help Shape the Workshop

You can look forward to a diverse and varied program that you can help shape. Therefore, please submit a presentation or poster contribution by June 10, 2024. The thematic focus of the contributions is as follows:

  • Networking and communication from data stewards to researchers
  • Networking and communication from data stewards to RDM stakeholders
  • Establishing networks within the NFDI
  • Establishing networks from scientific fields – challenges and successes
  • Understanding the role and tasks of data stewards
  • Implementation of data stewardship in projects, institutions, … – hurdles and successes as well as workflows and tools
  • Library, data center, project: concepts for the institutional and practical integration of data stewards
  • RDM competence transfer through data stewards
  • Balance of activities between data management and research activities
  • Increasing the reusability of research data
  • Innovative solutions for processing and publishing research data.

The DSgG team is looking forward to your contributions and to an interesting and varied workshop in September 2024.

On the DSgG website you will find all information about the workshop, hotel recommendations, interesting facts about submitting contributions in the form of presentations or posters, the exact dates, the latest news, which will be updated on an ongoing basis, and much more. Registration for the DSgG will be activated as soon as the accepted submissions are announced at the end of June 2024.
