BUILD ON DATA Conference Proceedings Published
Last year, we reported on the community conference “Auf Daten bauen // Build on Data” organized by the DFG project baureka.online. The two-day conference, which took place on May 4 and 5, 2023 in Berlin, was aimed at people who deal with historical building fabric, collect digital data on built objects and are interested in effective research data management in historical building research and monument preservation. An open access publication has now been published for the conference in May 2023, which we would like to report on in this article.
Central RDM Services at the RWTH: RWTH Publications
This article is part of our series “Central RDM Services at RWTH Aachen“. It is intended to show our researchers – i.e. you – which RDM services are offered at RWTH Aachen University to support you in your research and data management. We talk to the people responsible for the services and collect all the information for you in the individual articles. In this article, we would like to introduce you to the RDM service “RWTH Publications for research data”.
Workshop on the Management of Research Data (RDM II-Compact)
Research data management (RDM) is an essential part of modern science and research. In order to optimally prepare researchers at RWTH Aachen University for the challenges of handling research data, we offer the RDM II compact workshop once a year. This one-day hands-on workshop takes place on site at the University Library and is aimed at anyone who would like to deepen their knowledge of research data management.

Our Review of RWTH Young Academics Day 2023
The academic world can be an exciting, but also challenging environment. The pressure to produce research results and compete in a highly competitive environment can often be overwhelming for young academics. To address these challenges and support young researchers, Young Academics Day was held at RWTH Aachen University’s SuperC on September 5, 2023. The event was dedicated to mental health in academic careers and offered a wealth of valuable information. In this article, we have summarized the contents of the event for you.
